The Atlatl Set
The atlatl is a primitive hunting tool that has been invented independently by various cultures throughout the world. The artistic aim of this project was to create a matching set, of which both pieces are unique, yet through principles & elements of art, maintain a unity with each other. The darts are made of bamboo sticks, and have no point on them. They however work well for using a hay bale target.

Beadwork
We looked at beadwork from different cultures around the world, and discussed symbolism, notably with color and shape. Students were invited to design beadwork for a pin, of which the colors and shapes have symbolism for the student’s life.
