To accommodate the transition to online learning during the pandemic, I facilitated students’ artwork being put in a gallery online. Many students participating through the Artsonia gallery, as well as through what students made as part of these collaborative, animated galleries.
Second & third graders drew animals, while my middle school students drew the background elements. A couple middle schoolers helped crop the white backgrounds off my photos of the students’ artwork. First grade made nature art outside their homes during that time.
After teaching in person again, I created a project like the 2nd & 3rd grades’ animal drawings project, but it was done in person (hence the slideshow only for viewing here).
